JAN 20: "THEY HAVE TALKED FOR DAYS AND STILL THEY DON'T MOVE"

SKY News from the UK reporting on the Olympic Committees of Haiti and the Dominican Republic bypassing the slow moving UN and US military efforts to feed 40,000 people a day.

SKY plays up a hectic scene in which these organizations attempt to bring aid into the tough slum of Solidad. However, the key point comes from Haiti's Olympic committee General Secretary who says,
"I have sat in meetings from eight in the morning until the afternoon with them talking and doing nothing," He continues, "The bureaucracy is terrible. They have talked for days and still they don't move. Sitting on the runway is pointless." He does predict food riots but so far that has not happened on a larger scale, at least it has not been reported. He's not the only one predicting that the slow arrival of aid will lead to people becoming so desperate that the patience and control they have shown for so long will run out and we will see food riots.
